I attended hitchki buffet in cornerstone as one of their heaters was not working properly. Upon arrival I found that heater number 3 was not igniting properly. The ignitor would come on but it did not ignite right away and then would ignite explosively. I talked to Steve at calcana tech support and he is bringing a new gas valve in under warranty. Manny is going to talk to his installer and calcana. He is also calling the office about this invoice as he is under the understanding that it would be covered under the previous call. Declined signing and payment at this time.

Calling cold is out today due to a leak in the basement. Tech went out. It was first believed that it was coming from the main floor bathroom sink drainage. Tech performed a leak search cut a hole in the back in the closet to the sink found that the sink drain was fine so is the waterlines tech went back downstairs and ended up finding the poly B line had a very, very small pinhole, and it was misting up towards the floorboards. Tech informed client and quoted for the repair. Client approved work, tech drain down system sweated out old poly b adapter and installed new copper pipe and pex line. Refilled system and tested for leaks. No leaks found at this time. Client is happy.

Today I came to Cheryl’s Marlborough home because the water heater started leaking and flooding the basement. Luckily Cheryls son Chris was able to shut the tank off to stop further damage to the home. Upon inspection of the 20 year old tank it appears to have burst near the top of the tank and the system must be replaced.
Scheduled to return this afternoon to replace the tank. 50% paid now with the remainder due at time of job completion. 25% restocking fee should the job be cancelled.

I attended Ariel’s cougar ridge home to perform the plan service on his 1 yr old Goodman furnace. The furnace is in good operating condition requiring only minor adjustments. Filter was plugged so I talked to him about the importance of regular filter changes. His humidifier isn’t being used. He is using portable humidifiers in the bedrooms. I gave him options on replacing the humidifier with a good quality general air flow through humidifier as well as a led uv light. Azriel opted to not doing anything today. Happy with service.

Today I came to Greg’s South Calgary home to evaluate the poly b piping system for possible replacement. Greg has lived in the 33 year old home for 15 year and has not experienced a water pipe leak on that time. Greg is entertaining pipe replacement due to age and insurance concerns. Upon inspection of the 1555 square foot home I found there is a 3 piece and 4 piece bathroom on the upper level backing each other. 2 piece and kitchen on the main floor, 2 piece and mechanical room in the basement. The home is equipped with a working water softener and tankless water heater. There is no pressure reducing valve or expansion system. Greg will review all his quotes and will let us know how he chooses to proceed.

Today I came to Sheldons Eagle Ridge home because he is wanting to replace the aged garage unit heater. Upon inspection of the old heater I found it looks original to the home and is 62 years old. While it produces some heat, it is no longer sufficient to properly heat the garage. Sheldon has asked for pricing on a 2 stage infra red unit heater as well as a forced air system. I was able to find 2 options for Reznor forced air systems, and 1 single stage infra red system. I have reached out to the red for Superior Radiant products for cost and availability of the 2 stage system and will update Sheldon when I have the info. I have sent all the quotes I have thus far.

Client called about a gas leak. Tech went out tech found main floor furnace the top of the gas valve where the manifold threads into the gas valve appears to be leaking. Tech attempted to apply sealant and tightened. The gas valve back down appears to have worked if the gas leak continues. We’ll have to replace the gas valve. Field supervisor will return tomorrow to double check to make sure everything is working well if there is issues, he will go from there. Client has been informed and thanked us for coming out.
Today, February 20 2025, I came to John’s Woodbine home because there is still a gas smell in the home after another technician came yesterday. Upon inspection I found the gas valve on the main floor (left) furnace was leaking gas. I also tested the second floor furnace and found no leaks or errors. I replaced the gas valve and tested the system. I have observed both furnace run multiple cycles with no gas leaks and no errors.

I paid 270, just to listen to someone ask for 1000 to unscrew a screw, literally that's what the maintenance guy said to me, this is crazy and completely unprofessional, the lady on the phone said if I'm not mistaken 190 or a little more but definitely not 270 just to listen to a guy drinking coffee say 1000$ to unscrew a screw and I can't guarantee that everything will work after that, these people lost a customer after this bad experience
