Blocked, Running & Leaking Toilets

A home with a clogged toilet cannot be lived in. We recommend you immediately schedule an appointment with us if your toilet remains clogged for more than three hours. Our certified plumbers will arrive at your door shortly and at your convenience.

In the meantime, there are a few things you should do in order to minimize the damage of a clogged or leaking toilet until our team arrives.

– Stop the water flow by shutting off the water supply valve. The valve should be located right behind the toilet and usually looks like a regular faucet knob.
– Remove the spilled water and debris in order to avoid humidity, dampness and bad odours.
– Do not attempt to flush the toilet again as it will cause more water to be pumped into the toilet bowl. If the toilet bowl is clogged, the second flush could possibly cause the bowl to overflow.
– Protect the floor to minimize the damage of an overflowing toilet occurring by spreading newspapers or paper towels on the floor to soak up the water.
